Prison Island and Sandbank

Island lies in Zanzibar Channel, 6km northwest of Zanzibar Town. You sail by Wooden Motorized Boat for about 30 minutes from Stone Town, leaving the port by 09h00 to Prison Island where You visit the Prison Ruins built by General William Lloyd Mathews in 1893 which still stands and hence the name Prison Island. The Tour also includes the visit of the Aldabra's giant tortoises brought in 1919 by British Governor of Seychelles as a gift to Sultan of Zanzibar.

Our Wooden Motorized Boat will continue sailing to Pange Sand Bank where you will enjoy sun bathing, swimming and snorkeling around clear crystal water followed by Seafood Lunch prepared and served by our qualified Stuff Team in Zanzibar Style and you will sail back to Stone Town by 15h30.
