Tour Overview

Tarangire National Park The vast number of baobabs will catch your eye as you enter the Park. The gently rolling countryside is dotted with these majestic trees, which seem to dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. Herds of up to 300 elephants roam in the park with the migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and elands. Conclude your tour back at your hotel.

The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 square miles). This largest calderas in the world and the place to see The Big Five, if you are lucky. At night you retire in a lodge where delicious food and first-rate service.

Day 1:

Zanzibar – Arusha Airport - Overland to Tarangire National Park

After early breakfast at your Hotel - depart for your flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport with arrival at 9:00 AM, Upon arrival you will meet your Safari Vehicle for Tarangire National Park. Lunch in the Park - Tarangire NP is Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. Dinner and Overnight at Marera Lodge/Similar.

Day 2:

Ngorongoro Crater – Kilimanjaro Airport - Zanzibar

Breakfast at the Lodge, with packed lunch drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive . As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. After Lunch in the Crater depart for Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar/Home .
